The next associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the Graduate College will build on Iowa's 125-year legacy of innovation and excellence in graduate and professional education. The new associate provost and dean will guide the college in its mission to advocate for graduate education, allocate resources that support graduate students and programs, manage policies and procedures to establish and assess graduate programs, and foster interdisciplinary programs.

Second candidate announced for next Graduate College dean

A University of Iowa search committee has announced the second candidate for the next associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the Graduate College. Jennifer Blackhurst is associate dean for graduate and professional programs and the Leonard A. Hadley Chair in the Tippie College of Business. She is also a professor of business analytics. Blackhurst joined Iowa in 2014.

First candidate announced for next Graduate College dean

A University of Iowa search committee has announced the first candidate for the next associate provost for graduate and professional education and dean of the Graduate College. Jon C.D. Houtman is professor and vice chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the Carver College of Medicine and associate director for career enhancement at the UI Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. He is also the current director of the Human Immunology Core in the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. Houtman joined Iowa in 2005.
